Coonabarabran Public School P & C Association's main function is to liaise concerns and issues raised by P&C with all stakeholders within the Coonabarabran Public School and local community.

We meet every 4th Monday of the month at 6.30pm in the Public School Library.

Our Committee consists of five executive positions; President, two Vice Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer. We are continually seeking new members each year to strengthen our association so to ensure that decisions and ideas are supported.

At the beginning of each school year, fundraising events and ideas are tabled for discussion. Our association plays a very important roll within our school community.

 Our Fundraising events include

  • BBQ's at Infants Athletics Carnival
  • Operating a canteen at Primary Athletic & Zone Carnivals
  • Easter Raffles
  • Bunny Bazaar Stall
  • Mother's Day Stall
  • Father's Day Stall
  • Running of the Uniform Shop
  • Printing of Horse Expo Programs

Other funding assistance is given for the Intensive swimming programme, Graduation Bears and we sponsor the DUX trophie for the Annual Awards Night.

We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions for fundraising and ways that we can work together to provide materials and equipment that would be beneficial to our school community.

in 2013 the P &C begam seeking to apply for Grants/Funding to have a shelter built over the existing Multi Purpose, we were successful in obtaining a small grant from FRRR to kick start our project which we have titled "Undercover Kids".

We are continuing to apply for grants/funding as they become available, to ensure this project come to fruition, to date initial papersork and plans have been completed and approved by the DET the P &C feels strongly that this project is of utmost improtance to the welfare of the children within the school community.
